The pictures in this slide show were taken on a sunny day in February in the Big Valley area near Adin. As you will see, we love barns, and there are a number of beautiful old barns in these photos.

These photos were taken in January 2009 in the Surprise Valley area. These shots were cropped for the website which makes it difficult to see how really expansive the area is. As it approached evening the clouds began to roll in and there was a magnificent sunset and hail storm. The next morning the sky was brilliant blue and the mountains were dressed in a wonderful blanket of snow.
